Applying to the NMI Certificate Program

National Midwifery Institute offers open enrollment year-round; applicants may apply and enroll at any time. 

The enrollment process is self-paced; initial applications are held indefinitely and enrollment may be completed in a matter of days or months, depending on the applicant’s preference.

Step 1: Read the Application Guidelines

Prior to submitting your application, please review our Application Packet Guide to ensure you have everything you need, including all documentation needed to meet your prerequisites.

Step 2: Apply

Submit your application along will all requested information. The application process can be extensive, so be sure to give yourself plenty of time to work through the application form.

Step 3: Interview

After reviewing your application, the NMI team will reach out to request any missing documentation and schedule your Admissions Interview.

Step 4: Outcome

After your Admissions Interview, and if you desire to continue moving forward, NMI will advise you on the next steps to start your midwifery journey.
