We are specifically looking for a student who meets the following criteria:
Pursuing MEAC degree or equivalent accreditation.
Demonstrates a strong passion for midwifery care.
Displays excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Has a desire to gain hands-on experience in a birth center setting.
Is available for a paid apprenticeship position in Shreveport, LA.
As an apprentice at Shreveport Birth Center, the selected student will have the opportunity to work closely with our experienced midwives, participate in prenatal and postnatal care, assist in labor and delivery, and contribute to our ongoing research and educational initiatives. They will also have the chance to observe and engage with our supportive community of families, gaining insights into the diverse aspects of midwifery practice.
